Spa brand Sothys USA has expanded its presence at the Spa at Hershey, and added a new color line too that offers efficacious ingredients.

Spa specialist brand Sothys USA may have French lineage, but the company has a soft spot, make that a sweet spot, for Pennsylvania—specifically, Hershey, PA, where the firm is a special supplier at The Spa at the Hotel Hershey. “The Spa at The Hotel Hershey and Sothys have forged a strong and evolving relationship that creates unique and exceptional experiences for our guests,” said Shian Wing, spa director. “While all of our guests are looking to relax and enjoy our beautiful atmosphere, they are especially interested in results-driven treatments. Sothys has expertly personalized their specialty facials to provide a tailor-made experience, exclusively at The Spa at The Hotel Hershey, which provide immediately noticeable results in the improvement of skin tone, texture and overall skin health.” Also known as the “Chocolate Spa,” The Spa at the Hotel Hershey offers a variety of specialty treatments, including those which incorporate elements that are close to the candy maker’s heart. “If a guest is looking for a uniquely Hershey experience, that means chocolate…we have partnered with Sothys to offer the exclusive Cocoa Facial Experience, which uses pure chocolate as an edible and beneficial treatment,” noted Ashley Melincavage, spa services manager at The Spa at the Hotel Hershey. “Cocoa is rich in antioxidants, which helps increase your skin's health and appearance—and it tastes delicious, so guests are encouraged to sample the chocolate mask as their aestheticians apply it! It is a decadent experience that improves skin's texture and tone.” The 75-minute treatment is billed as the “most unique Hershey facial experience.” The mask contains active ingredients such as cacao fruit, anantioxidant that combats the visual signs of aging. Sothys’ relationship with Hershey has grown over time. “Sothys and Hershey began with our basic IT treatments and over the last two years we have expanded the partnership to include all of our treatments,” Corinne Smith, sales director, Sothys USA, told HAPPI, noting that the company has developed treatments exclusive for the Hershey Spa Property. Sothys USA is present at other premier properties too, such as Hard Rock Hotels, MGM Resorts and Casinos, Dessange Groupe Day Spa and SLS Hotels. Plus, the brand has recently entered new territory with a color line that rolled out in June. “We launched a brand new makeup line to fulfill every woman’s basic needs,” said Smith. “The line showcases gorgeous and velvety textures for ultimate coverage and brilliant color. The foundations follow the corrective concept providing each skin type with its active ingredient needs while offering seamless coverage.” The Age-Defying Foundation, for example, is formulated with candle bush extract to prevent aging and protect against free radicals, a complex of Omega 3, 6 and 9 to moisturize, and soft-focus powders to conceal wrinkles and illuminate the complexion. The Skin Perfector Foundation is a lightweight formula with pore-refining ingredients like rose fruit and ultra mattifying powders. The Glowing Hydrating Foundation has an exclusive moisturizing complex that provides sheer coverage and offers eight hours of continuous hydration via “radiance-revealing micro-particles and specially selected silicones” that provide lightness, soft touch and a natural finish. Plus, it contains Sothys’ 1055 boletus extract, which has an anti-free radical effect and optimizes moisture flow, said the company. The solid coverage SKUs include Velvety Compact Foundation, which has HPP pigments, and Fixating Compact Powder, a high-definition combination of silicon, mica and polymer powders. These most recent products—like those in its expansive spa offerings—showcase the company’s commitment to innovation, according to the company. Added Smith, “From inception, Sothys’ innovative and aggressive R&D has kept Sothys International and Sothys USA at the forefront of the skin care revolution.”
